JACKELOPE
Folk with a twang and a bite = Fang. Jackelope plays Fang. Fang is not country, or alt.country, its not bluegrass or newgrass, its not rock, not indie, no whining, no screaming, just characters passing through a time they only sometimes understand. TO THE MASQUERADE
At just over a year old, To The Masquerade, has just begun to leave their mark on the local music scene. And with the upcoming release of their first EP this September, music listeners nation wide will fall victim to the infectiously catchy power-pop dance rock, or at least that's what the five-piece band from Boston intends. Their party-instigating style incorporates alternative hard rock and post hardcore with electronic dance beats, synth driven choruses, and powerful dueling vocal arrangements. BLACK BETTY AND THE BAD HABITS

Static of the Gods tends a hothouse full of luminous, melody-infused indie rock songs with sweet vocals soaring over a seething rhythm section and expansive, reverb-drenched guitars. Named "Boston's hottest rising band" by Skope Magazine, the band released their well-received debut, Cycles Follow Signs, through recordhead in April 2007, where it debuted at #141 on CMJ Charts, peaking at #103 with 5 weeks in the Top 200. DEFTCHILD (GEORGE VALA & TAKI)
Producers George Vala and Taki set out to put Boston on the electronic music map with their latest collaboration, Deftchild, a live electronic project featuring original material by George Vala carefully reconstructed by Taki. Powerfully minimal tech house melodies and foot-stomping electro-rock beats are at the heart of this duo’s live show, which has been creating quite a buzz around the New England area this summer.
