Let me start by telling what just happened to me and how Disc Makers helped to make it happen. I was just voted 2007 Comedian of the year by CCMA/ICM in Nashville, TN, I have been doing musical comedy and drama fulltime for approximately 17 years, I am a NASCAR chaplain, I stay booked up approximately a year in advance and make a good living!
For around 25 years I have been doing shows, concerts, and services of all kinds while recording at many studios across the country. Needless to say, I am not a spring chicken; I will be 56 years old this November. My musical and acting abilities are from God, and were handed down to me from a great and happy family, the McGee’s.
Like many artists who dream of being the next big star, I worked hard being fueled by the passion to entertain and see peoples lives impacted in a positive way. Because limited funding was always a problem, most of my recordings were either homemade or done as a big favor by a friend in the business who believed in me and my calling.
Somewhere along the way I heard of Disc Makers.
At the time, (about 5 years ago) all I could find was a magazine that showed some pictures of products they made available to people who were serious enough to want to go to the next level. That was me.
I contacted them by phone. From the very first conversation with the initial contact person, I found them to be genuinely interested in me and my career. Then I found that the graphic designers and the personal project managers walked me through the process – from start to finish – while sending me proofs for my satisfaction!
Needless to say, I have reordered several times now because of the excellent packaging and the professional manner in which the finished product looks. I am in the middle of my newest CD/DVD project that they will help me with, as well.
It did not matter to Disc Makers how SMALL I was – it mattered to Disc Makers how LARGE my dream was!
