What jumpstarts your creativity?
I am mainly inspired by other designers and their works. I can't remember a time when I wasn't absorbing design books and ripping out pages of magazines with ads and illustrations that I like... now I just surf the net and right-click-save to desktop. The evolution of design
in print/web is like a fashion runway roller coaster. Things get recycled, styles get a facelift, fonts come and go like models, you could have sworn we did that in the 80s. But by the power of Mac and Adobe - there is always someone willing to take it that one step further and revolutionize an idea, a type treatment, a space. That's what inspires me. Designers who make art with impact. What would we be without design? Pretty damn boring.

What do you do for fun?
My one major hobby consists of parking my behind with boy and dog in tow on the shore of a body of water. Preferably located on the east coast but the west isn't bad either. Relaxation is very appealing to me. I enjoy it immensely.

What's your favorite album cover?
An album cover should speak to the audience. It only needs to say one thing. Look at me. That's art. Whether you listen to the music or buy - that's marketing. That said. I love the cover for The Fighting Jacks: "The Dying Art of Life." Coming from an illustration background, I love art that holds a story, that has composition, that is strong in imagery, that makes you wish you did that.

What's the coolest concert you went to?
The greatest concert I ever went to... wow would date me back some. It was my first concert, 1992, I went to see U2, the ZOO TV TOUR. A different venture from The Joshua Tree and just before the sunglasses totally took over Bono's face. I was elated to finally go to a real concert - at a real venue: the Spectrum in Philly, no less. I was floored at how amazing they were and best of all I got to see Larry - what a dreamboat.

What's your favorite pizza topping?
My favorite pizza topping is mushrooms and onions (red preferably).
