What jumpstarts your creativity?
Random things inspire me. Cartoons, album covers, a weird scribble, or a fine painting in a gallery or museum...doesn’t matter.
Tell us about your fabulous self and stuff.
Outside of Disc Makers I’m an |
illustrator/designer in the children’s market (spots for textbooks, kids mags, books - that kind of thing) and play the occasional gig on keyboards or piano (usually when my brother guilts me into it). I have a husband and two cat babies. I also make stuff. I love making stuff. And love to bake any chance I get. I listen to music of many kinds, from classical to jazz, lounge to rock. One of my oddest CDs is a 50’s beat album called “Ken Nordine’s Colors.” It’s a spoken word CD that is awesome, but no one believes me!
Who would you tour with if you could? Dead musicians count.
I wouldn’t choose to tour, because I hate traveling, I tend to get bored at concerts even if I’m performing, I’m kind of shy and crowds get me nervous. Being on stage is the easy part. It’s walking through crowds that’s scary. But maybe because I’m short in stature and can’t see where I’m going or where the exit signs are in case of emergency.
What's your favorite pizza topping?
My favorite toppings are olives and spinach (sorry Kathy, I know you hate olives but Kristen likes them too). |
