What kind of stuff inspires you?
I'm inspired by nature and all things organic, unusual color combinations, and vintage design and typography. I also appreciate design that nicely integrates illustration (particularly hand-done illustration).

What do you do for fun?
A favorite hobby of mine is compiling, designing and sharing mix 'tapes' with anyone who wants one. Some of the artists on my last mix were Spoon, Electrelane, the Knife, DeVotchka, the Decemberists, Air and the Violent Femmes.
What's your favorite album cover and why?
My favorite album cover of all time is King Crimson: "In the Court of the Crimson King." It's just a painting - no text on the cover, yet it's memorable and instantly recognizable, not to mention it's some of the best music ever made.
What's the latest concert you went to?
I'm not much of a concert-goer, but the last one I was at was particularly great. I saw the Flaming Lips at the Allentown Fair (of all places) with Ween and Sonic Youth as the opening acts. Wayne started things out by getting in the hamster ball and rolling atop the crowd. The rest of the show consisted of dancing aliens in Santa costumes, confetti guns and giant hand gloves - if you ever get the chance, I highly recommend you see a Flaming Lips show.
What's your favorite pizza topping?
I prefer tomato pie :) |
