Rosin Coven is the World's Premiere Pagan Lounge Ensemble; they have
created their own style of theatrical cabaret. Eight musicians blend
violin, two cellos, bass, guitar, harp, vibraphone, trombone, drums
& lush vocal harmonies in a strangely beautiful mix of classical,
jazz, chamber, tango, klezmer, sultry lounge, theatrical cabaret,
and cinematic dreams. Edith Piaf does the cha-cha with Charles Mingus,
Eric Satie tangos with Sun-Ra, and Kurt Weil broods over Doris Day.
Rosin Coven presents an irreverent yet elegant balance between musicianship,
poise, theatricality, and humor. |

LANDON is a band spearheaded by its self-titled frontwoman. Dynamic
and unprocessed; they deliver an entirely unique sonic identity to
the underground. With unfiltered lyrical substance and addictive melodies,
the new EP embodies diverse rock influences and undeniable live performances.
Their new EP 'Defying the Stereotype' is available exclusively at
shows. Often compared to the sounds of NIN & Sneakerpimps, this
band uses driving force and dynamic, dark undertones to achieve a
reluctant mainstream appeal for an emerging indie rock band. With
an album under their belt, Landon will release their 2nd album and
tour in 2007. |

In the hot summer of 2006, in a sweaty garage in downtown Phoenix
(north of the warehouses and south of the pawn shops), a brand new
project was born of four longtime Phoenix rockers. Like a 60s spy-movie
theme blasting through an aluminum-siding-covered one-car garage,
The Love Me Nots do fuzzy, reverb-y, surf-y, farfisa-drenched spy
rock like it's 1963 again. The band's debut album was recorded by
Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Romantics) in Detroit and was released
January 2007, going to the CMJ Top 100 within one week and spending
ten weeks on the CMJ charts. The video for "Move In Tight,"
directed by SCREAM-award-winner Brian Pulido, was released in April
2007. The band is currently touring both coasts and the Midwest. |

Miki Vale has collaborated with some of Hip Hop’s elite including
OHNO, Dudley Perkins aka Declaime, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Kankick,
Oddisee, S1 of Strange Fruit Project and more. In 2002 Miki met fellow
artist Blest, a founder of Sleeping Giant Music (SGM). This alliance
led Miki to join the SGM family. In 2004, SGM released a compilation
album featuring a roster of underground Hip Hop talent. The album,
entitled "The Awakening", features Miki Vale's smooth, buttery
vocal stylings on several stand out tracks. 2006 saw the release of
Miki’s collaboration with Oxnard’s most elusive crate-digger,
Kankick, entitled “Yes Yes (Suite 3)”, a 7” single
on Ramp Recordings.
Miki Vale has earned her stripes and due praises by opening for such
notable artists as Slick Rick, Mos Def, Bahamadia, Loot Pack, Declaime,
Too $hort, Living Legends, Souls of Mischief, The Roots, DJ Quik,
Young MC, and more. With the recent debut of the snippet/single "The
New Dope," Miki's name, music, and message are spreading faster
than the Cali wildfires. Now, Miki is back in the lab, working hard
on her solo debut album, set to be “UnValed” soon. |

VoThe Tongues’ sound combines edgy guitars, pumpin’ bass,
and kickin’ drums with singable melodies and intriguing storylines.
Harnessing raw musical exuberance into danceable grooves...
Guitarist Barry Syska and drummer Patrick “Pickle” Kaliski
met back in 2002 when they began recording sessions for Barry’s
Fantasy Cravings album. They later played together at various gigs
such as the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco warming up
for the Dresden Dolls and Pickle's other band, Rosin Coven.
Barry and Pickle realized that they shared a similar vision –
of forming a danceable rockin’ band with a Brit twist. In fact,
the process of forming this band was well underway. Pickle had already
advertised for a bass player and Barry had already begun writing rock
songs. It was then that bassist William "Billy the Kid"
Barnes came into the picture. Billy responded immediately to Pickle’s
posting (after first listening to bands like Franz Ferdinand and Bloc
Party to figure out the exact manner in which these young upstarts
rocked) and he was a good fit. Having grown disillusioned with the
working world, Billy yearned for his bygone days of playing in rock
bands (501 Spanish Verbs, Slombis). And so the die was cast.
In mid-March 2006, the trio met for their first rehearsal at Pickle’s
place in Oakland and within a few months they transitioned from living
room to recording studio. They then set about recording the basic
tracks for what was to become their first EP. |
