AubreyAubrey is an alternative/pop quintet mixing the influences of the Beatles, Coldplay, and Sigur Ros into a unique and accessible listening experience. The founders of Aubrey, Jon Ulasien and Robert Weinaug, grew up together in Lawrence, KS and have been playing/experimenting with music as a team since 1994. Since then Jon and Robert's collaborations have had many iterations in names such as GEL, Jay's Love Child and A-Band but settled on "Aubrey" in 2003. During the intervening time, the make-up of Aubrey began to take shape with the additions of Alex Pierrelee and Paul Becker in 2001. The final and most vital component of the Aubrey sound, Jaime Netzer, came on board in 2004.

Now complete, Aubrey has been taking the local Midwest music scene by storm and has been gaining national and international attention as well. Aubrey's Website (www.aubreyrock.com) has been buzzing with activity as web surfers from as far away as Denmark, China, Uruguay, Sweden, The Netherlands, Germany, The UK, France, Spain and Italy have listened to and downloaded audio samples of Aubrey's unique and accessible sound. Aubrey has recently shared the stage with national acts such as Shaking Tree and Apollo 13 and such regional stars as Abileen, Tanner Walle and Distance to Empty. The much anticipated independent release of Aubrey's Debut Album "Honey and the Shame" in late Spring of 2005, will take Aubrey beyond its Midwest roots to new an exciting places around the US as they embark on a summer promotional tour.
