The Fuzz Haunted is a three-piece experimental rock group from New York City comprised of Randy Lord, Steve Dawson and James Lord. Their sound is built upon strong songs with layered vocal harmonies and sonic textures.
Using diverse instruments including loud guitars, accordions, singing saws and a church organ along with an arsenal of effects, the band creates a dynamic atmosphere of music and sound.
Demonstrating their well-honed skills as producers and musicians, their self-titled debut CD was written, performed and recorded by Steve Dawson and Randy Lord. Their songs breathe and grow in their own creativity, allowing each listen to reveal something new. The result is a sound that stands on its own, and a collection of music that defies simple categorization.
In April 2006, NPR’s All Songs Considered featured The Fuzz Haunted and honored the band by choosing the opening track “Tiger Balm” for the program’s very first podcast. |
