The Shook Twins themselves, Katelyn and Laurie, have been creating music for the past five years and playing live for three. They’ve since been joined by bassist Kyle Volkman, cellist Lane Exworthy, and percussionist Colin Duclos. Laurie sings and plays the banjo, guitar, ocarina (clay flute), slide, and face drum (beat boxing). Katelyn mostly sticks to the guitar, and is the one who has written most of the original Shook Twins material. Both switch off singing main melodies while the other sings harmony.
