Raphael Brunn, Flamenco guitarist and composer, was born December 19th, 1973 in Hackensack New Jersey to a well-known family of jugglers, dancers, and trapeze artists. An American kid with lots of rhythm, Raphael started playing bass guitar at the age of ten. At fourteen, Raphael moved to Europe to join his father, a world renowned juggler and acrobat who had been using live Flamenco music in his performances since seeing Antonio Ruiz and Carmen Amaya dance in the 1950’s.
His public debut playing Flamenco guitar was in the opening festivities of the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Since then, Raphael has performed with many of the artists who initially inspired his dedication to the Flamenco tradition. In 2001 and 2003 he worked with El Farruquito and El Torombo in the Flamenco production of Incognito, in Frankfurt, Germany. Now based in New York City, Raphael performs regularly with his own Flamenco Quintet including Oscar Vallero (dancing and percussion); Sean Kupisz (electric bass); Duane Eubanks (trumpet); Karel Ruzika (saxophone) and various singers. |

Status Green

|
The story and sound of Status Green began long before the bands formation in 2005. Growing up in New Jersey to a healthy soundtrack of classic rock and left to spend their adolescence in the windy valley of influence that lies between New York City and Asbury Park, the end result couldn’t be more fitting. One part the glory days of the E Street Band and another part the poppy fuzz of Blondie, one can't help but be reminded of the often overlooked yet wildly influential moments in music history when the filth and fury of rock and roll made for strange bedfellows with the sights and sounds of pop. It is these recurring scenes and sounds that shape Status Green.
Like all classic Rock & Roll folk tales, Status Green formed from a drug-induced summer full of daydreams and motorcycle diaries. Lou Montesano returned home from his travels inspired and went right to work, rallying his childhood friends around some very big ideas. Playing shows up and down the East Coast on their own terms, it wasn't long before they began to see that they were on to something, that something was happening. In three short years, Status Green came from local obscurity to sell out The Stone Pony and the now defunct CBGB's. The band recorded and self released their first album, and opened for Bon Jovi after winning a tri state listener poll on 95.5 WPLJ. |

Anthony & Abbie

Raw, real, and recorded in 3 days, Bad Nights/Better Days introduces the new duo of Abbie Gardner and Anthony da Costa. While Anthony blazed a trail on the singer/songwriter scene with Typical American Tragedy (January 2008) and Abbie released Love and Other Tragedies (May 2008) with Americana trio Red Molly, “this disc has a distinct feel that sits somewhere between Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart and Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.” (Neil Pearson, Fish Records, UK)
Over the course of the record, love is found, confused, lost, rediscovered, and redefined. The songs are filled with worn acoustic guitars, wailing electric guitars, crying Dobros, walls of lap-steel, junk percussion, and soulful strings. Bad Nights/Better Days is evidence of the human condition, in all of its glory and pain. |

Davey La

|
British born, Manhattan-dwelling rocker Davey La discovered his passion for music at an early age when his father, a professional jazz musician in the sixties, introduced him to the drums at age five. At the age of 12, he formed a band with some friends, starting out as the drummer and soon taking over the role of lead singer, drawing influences from a wide array of artists including Sly and the Family Stone, The Beatles, and 80’s pop acts like Billy Joel and Elton John.
In 2001, after a stint producing and engineering at Alaska Studios in London’s Waterloo, Davey La and his friend/co-worker Ben Castle grew tired of making music for other people and decided to form their own band, Ambershades. During his time with the band they Clap Clap Clap which spawned three indie top twenty hits. After becoming disillusioned with the music scene in London, Davey moved to New York City in 2005 to get a fresh perspective and to start his solo career. He began writing and recording what would become his eponymous solo debut album, which is slated for an early 2008 release, working with and drawing inspiration from talented musicians and producers in the New York underground scene. |
