How to sell the most Merch.
These tips were gathered by our employees who
have had success selling Merch for their own bands.
1. Prominently display your Merch at a table in a high traffic area at your gigs. Close to the entrance or exit is often good. Or maybe even on the way to the rest rooms.
2. Proudly mention from
the stage that you have quality Custom-printed
T-Shirts, Custom Hooded
Sweatshirts, Custom
Trucker Caps, or Custom
Skull Caps for sale at the table by the entrance. Trust us, if
you keep it a secret, you won't sell any.
3. Keep prices reasonable
-- you're an independent artist, not a chart topper (yet) -- and be
sure to list them clearly.
4. Sell a range of garments:
Custom T-Shirts, Baby
Doll T-Shirts, Long
Sleeve Tees, Custom
Baseball Caps. The more options you offer, the more customers
you'll appeal to.
5. Offer bundles: If you
sell a CD for $12 and a shirt for $15, sell both for $25 (a $2 savings).
6. People love getting stuff for free. Offer something free with purchase -- a poster, sticker, or maybe a copy of an old CD who's sales have cooled off.
7. Accept credit cards.
