| Preparing
and submitting your graphics. |
When
you choose Disc Makers to design your project, you put your image
in the competent hands of our graphic designers. Our staff combines
award-winning creativity with special training in package design.
We review the materials and ideas you submit and work from there to
create a package design. Art proofs sent via email for your
approval. We don't go to print until you're satisfied.
If you prefer to supply your design, we'll check your files to make
sure your crop marks, folds, bleeds, and other specs are perfect.
If we find any minor errors, we'll fix them — free. Art proofs sent via email for your approval. We don't go to print until you're satisfied.
At Disc Makers, we know that even when it's your design, it's our

Disc
Makers accepts:
•3.5" floppy disks
•All SyQuest cartridges
•Iomega ZIP or Jaz cartridges
•CD-R
We frequently upgrade our equipment, so if you want to send a different
type of media, call your product specialist and ask.
We can accept these software programs on Macintosh or PC:
•FreeHand
•QuarkXPress
•Illustrator
•CorelDRAW
•InDesign
We accept Photoshop files for your images. Please do not prepare your
entire layout in Photoshop, as the resolution that is ideal for photographs
will cause your type to appear somewhat jagged. Further, it limits
our ability to make corrections or edit your document if an error
is discovered.
Along with your files, you must provide:
•Directory of files on disk, indicating which are to be output.
•Hard copy (printout) of all pieces for our reference.
•Special instructions (i.e. additional scans required, folding
mock-up, etc.)
• Completed Supplied Design on Disk checklist. Click
here to download the Disc Makers Graphics form and the Supplied
Design on Disk checklist from our Web site. |

(CTP) equipment for our printing operation. As a result, we no longer
use film. If you supply us with film for your printing, we then scan
it on our high-end copydot scanner to incorporate it into our digital
workflow. We strongly recommend that you supply design on disk so
that we have the flexibility to make any last-minute changes that
may be required. |
