Custom Album Design for Fire on the Prairie by Sons of the Republic

By using the Disc Makers Design Information Guide, the Sons of the Republic explained Fire on the Prairie as “earthy, organic, uplifting and flowing”. They wanted their CD packaging design to have a feeling of authenticity of Bluegrass / American music — a genre they dubbed “Buffalograss”.
Sons of the Republic suggested incorporating a buffalo into the album art, as well as using imagery that directly represented the title Fire on the Prairie. The only image they supplied was the band photo, which worked great spread across the inside of the CD Digipak®.
After their first design proof from The Design Studio, Sons of the Republic said, “Everything looks amazing!” The artwork for Fire on the Prairie was approved with a few small changes.
