How to order:

  • If you are creating a disc package quote online, simply add the Global Music Distribution Bundle you want to your CD replication or CD duplication order. Or call 1-800-468-9353 and ask your product specialist to add the Global Music Distribution Bundle to your CD order.
  • Available only with packages that include cover artwork (not bulk discs, jewel cases with no inserts, etc).
  • Your disc project must include a UPC Bar Code to participate. You can provide your own or buy one from us for $20.

How it works:

  • Once we finish manufacturing your CDs, we will digitally transfer your contact information, your recorded music and cover art files, and some of the album metadata to CD Baby.
  • Upon receipt of your album information CD Baby will send you an email with a link for you to log in and complete your account registration. Your album will not be available for sale on any of their digital partner sites until you complete this important step.
  • Once you have completed the distribution setup process, your release will be reviewed by CD Baby’s inspection team to make sure it meets their partners submission requirements. If their team has any concerns, you will receive an e-mail from their inspection team detailing any issues that need to be resolved or further action that needs to be taken on your end. Once your album has passed inspection, CD Baby will roll out their music distribution services by delivering your project to their partner sites.
  • For maximum playability, we will also register your music with Gracenote CDDB so that your artist name and CD album and song titles will display in Gracenote powered players.

How long it takes:

  • CD Baby’s inspection process takes approximately one week.
  • Once your music is approved by CD Baby's inspection team and finalized by you, the distribution company will typically deliver it to all streaming and download services in another 2 to 3 days.
  • Every streaming service then needs anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks to have your music go live. The total process can typically take up to 30 days.
  • For the latest information on how long it will take CD Baby to deliver your music, click here.
  • CD Baby recommends setting a release date no less than 6 weeks into the future. This allows you adequate time for promotion, and it allows time for all the streaming services to have your album go live everywhere on the same day.
